Talk through your legal issue

An intake agent will answer your call and collect some basic information about your legal issue. They'll then connect you with an available Legal Helpline lawyer specializing in the relevant area of law.

The lawyer will provide general legal information, answer your questions, and explain possible next steps. If your issue appears to fall within your policy coverage, your information will be forwarded to our Claims Department for further review.

A Claims Analyst will be assigned

A dedicated Claims Analyst will be assigned to your case and contact you by phone or email to request information and supporting documents, where needed, to assess your claim.

They'll review your situation against your policy terms and let you know whether your claim is covered.

You're notified of the decision

Once your claim has been assessed, your Claims Analyst will contact you by phone and by email to communicate the coverage decision, explain the outcome, and guide you through any next steps.

If your claim is accepted, we will assign a lawyer to assist with your dispute.

You're connected with a specialized lawyer

If your claim is approved, ARAG will appoint a lawyer from our specialized panel law firms with experience in the relevant area of law. Your lawyer will guide you through the legal process and work toward resolving your issue, while eligible legal costs are covered in accordance with your policy terms and limits.

Your Claims Analyst will continue to oversee your claim and remain available to answer questions and assist throughout the process.
