How customers access support

Step 1: find the access details

Customers should look for the Legal Helpline number on the policy certificate or in the policy wording. They should have the policy number ready when calling.

A woman sits at a desk using a laptop while wearing a headset and working on a call.

Step 2: explain the situation

Customers will speak with an intake agent and explain the issue they're facing. They will then be connected to a Helpline lawyer who can provide general legal information and explain possible next steps.

Step 3: check the relevant service

If the customer is looking for document review, letter drafting, HR assistance, emotional support, or identity theft assistance, the intake agent will verify coverage and connect them to a lawyer or professional who can assist with the service.

Before you get started

The Legal Helpline is typically included with our products, while additional assistance services can be customized based on the needs of each program. Please refer to your policy documents for details on the services available to you.

No. Calling for general legal information is not itself an insurance claim. Customers can call the Helpline as many times as they'd like without it constituting a claim. If a matter appears potentially covered, it may be referred to our Claims team for assessment. A coverage decision is a separate step.

General information from the Legal Helpline is separate from the Legal Document Review service. Where document review is included, follow the relevant service instructions and check document eligibility and limits.

No. Our assistance services can be offered independently of our insurance products, giving you the flexibility to enhance your existing offerings with valuable support services tailored to your customers’ needs.

Contact our broker or corporate partnerships team to discuss your customer group and the products and services available. The team can confirm the arrangement and support relevant to your customers.
